A Friendly Visit
St. Philip’s 20/40 Fellowship recently partnered with Family Services of Montgomery County’s Project HEARTH (Helping Elderly Adults Remain in Their Homes) for their first service project.
Through Project HEARTH, a licensed clinical social worker visits seniors in their own homes to help them cope with anxiety, depression, illness, isolation, loneliness, and loss. In addition, dedicated HEARTH volunteers provide seniors with concrete support services, such as transportation, grocery shopping assistance and minor home repairs.
